Aquadyne Industries Inc., was established in 1986 to build small run-of-the-river hydro electric systems. Its mission was, and still is, to provide environmentally friendly power and energy from renewable resources. It has been directly involved in several energy from biomass co-generation projects. Aquadyne currently supplies approximately 100 used and new generator sets each year using conventional fuels such as diesel, natural gas and propane as well as non-conventional fuels such as biogas and syngas.
Whether it is distributed-generation, turbo-generators, reciprocating prime movers, wind turbines or Pelton wheels that is needed, Aquadyne is able to provide an engineered solution for your power and energy needs. With 30 years of experience in application-engineering covering large-motor starting, non-linear loads, critical power, uninterruptible power, on-site power or standby power, a solution for your needs is only a phone-call away.
Aquadyne Inc. of Delta, BC is wholly owned and operated by Hans Gostmann. Hans was born in West Germany and received his training as a mechanical engineer in South Africa. He embarked on his power generation journey with the South African Caterpillar dealer, Barlow's. After 15 years with this company, Hans formed his own company specializing in power supply for remote areas of southern Africa. His major projects included supplying the power for the Sua Pan Soda Ash project, steam power for Foods Botswana, bio-mass gasification in Zimbabwe and owning and operating a 5MW power station for the town of Maun at the edge of the Okavango Delta. Smaller projects have included the supply of prime and back-up power for fishing lodges, mines, hospitals, municipalities, office towers, hotels and more.
